As the population of Hindu community in the Denver metro area started growing in the 1980s, HTCCR was formed. For many years it operated from people’s homes and rented spaces. In 1996, an old church on South Wadsworth Boulevard in Littleton, Colorado was purchased and remodeled into a temple. Over the years, the operation grew and the facilities became inadequate.

In 2007, HTCCR purchased a 4.25-acre lot on South Potomac Street in Centennial, Colorado. A new beautiful temple was designed and built. The operation moved there in June 2015. During the last 30 years, many community leaders have managed HTCCR on a volunteer basis and several priests have served the temple and the community. We thank them all.
