HTCCR Management
Board of Trustees: As provided by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws, a Board of Trustees is responsible for the management of HTCCR. Currently, there are 15 Trustees on the Board. Their names, brief resumes (qualification and experience), responsibilities on the Board, and contact information are presented in the Archives section. They are elected for a three-year term with the option to continue for a second term.
As some Trustees retire, new Trustees to replace them are elected by the current Trustees. One third are nominated by the Advisory Council. Effort is made to have Trustees with a range of qualifications, skills and experiences necessary for management of the organization. We try to have a good balance of age, sex, and cultural background. Two current trustees represent Colorado Springs and Fort Collins areas. Above all we try to elect those who have shown commitment to the HTCCR cause and are willing to devote required time. Normally, volunteers working on different management committees get elected to the Board.
The Board meets at 10 AM on third Sundays at the temple (if needed, a zoom meeting is arranged). The Secretary prepares and distributes the agenda in advance and Minutes of Meeting afterwards.
If you would like to see any of these documents, please submit a request by email to: records@hindutempleofcolorado.net.
If you would like to attend a Board meeting to present and discuss any important matter, please submit your request to: president@hindutempleofcolorado.net.
Officers: The Trustees elect the Officers from within the Board, who manage the HTCCR organization on a day-to-day basis. They supervise the employees and contractors; deal with government agencies and vendors; and raise funds. In short, they do everything that needs to be done to keep HTCCR as a viable organization serving the religious, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of its devotees.
The current Officers are:
President and Chief Executive Officer: Deepak Malhotra
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer: Mahesh Anandan
Vice President: Madhusudhana Bhat
Secretary: Sanjai Natesan
Advisory Council Chairman: Mahesh Jha
The Chair of Advisory Council also participates in the Board meetings and works with the HTCCR officers on strategic and policy matters.
Management Committees and Volunteers: The Officers are helped by several Management Committees in various areas of operation. The committees are made up of Trustees and volunteers from the community. A list of current committees and their members is presented in the Archives section. Many volunteers also help in temple operation, food preparation and distribution, and clean up. This is a great service to offer to God and the community. If you would like to help, stop by any Sunday and join other volunteers.
