Sunday Sponsored Poojas: On most Sundays, sponsors, whether a devotee or a group, are served at the temple, generally Sri Satya Narayan Pooja. The visitors to the temple join in. After Arati, a vegetarian Prasad lunch (cooked in the kitchen by sponsor family and volunteers or catered by a local restaurant) Pooja. Some sponsor the event to celebrate a special occasion like birthday, marriage anniversary, death anniversary of spouse or parent etc. Some sponsor the pooja and prasad to share their blessings with friends, relatives and community at large. If you would like to do this Punya (religious merit), please call the priest of your choice to find out the details.

Major Poojas: Throughout the year many major poojas are held at the temple such as Maha Shiva Ratri, Holi, Sri Rama Navami, Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra, Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Sri Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, Karwa Chouth etc. Large crowds of devotees come to the temple to participate in these special poojas. Adequate advance notice is given to the community (see Events Calendar). You are encouraged to sponsor one or more of these poojas.

Private Poojas and Samskaras Services: Many devotees like to conduct private Archana, Abhisheka, or pooja of certain deities at the temple or at their home. They require a priest. A Hindu goes through many Samskaras (sacraments) from birth (Namakaran, naming) to death (Last Rites, Shraddha) and in fact from prebirth (Pumsavana) to post death (Varshik shraddha). Many of these require a pooja also, to be conducted by a priest. There are also Griha Pravesh pooja for a new home and Vahan Pooja for a new car. Our priests are well qualified and willing to conduct these services. Some services may require only 15 minutes time, while others like wedding ceremonies may require several hours. Travel time may also vary for off-site services. So, the suggested donations vary a lot and are listed in the Archives section. This avoids any misunderstanding and ensures that everyone is treated equally.
